The game has a good potential, but should need a bit more betatesting. Some details are annoying, and some others are really frustating. A little example : why the character isn't at the center of the screen ? If I walk to left I will for sure manage ennemy, if I walk to right, I'm in danger. It's okay to loose, but it's frustating when that's due to bad setting. Another example : when I die there is a skeleton under the Game over screen, when the screen goes up, it suddenly change for a slime. Once again, the game has a good potential, really. The design is great, musics and sounds are pleasant, some moments has offered me pleasant challenge. There is for sure love in this game.
Yeah. I agree with all of that. But, if it's dead, and unfinished, why have I seen it in a halloween bundle 5 days ago in the Playdate Community Direct. It isn't a cheap bundle. This is a 7$ game. A bit quality in polishing is expected at this price for a playdate game. And like you say, it's really sad, cause damn, this game has a great great potential ! The last levels offers real great level design, keep surprising me, and are fun to play.
I agree that it is a shame to advertise a game that hasn't been worked on for almost 9 months and that is still rough on the edges... probably one of the best in it's genre nonetheless ! It would be very cool if the developper could come back and say hi 🙂
Hi! What would you like to see more of? To be perfectly honest, my creative juices for new level designs and lack of interest/sales is the main reason I didn’t continue to develop more levels. But I am open to suggestions and ideas!
Hello, nice to see you ! The most important would be to fix the bugs, like collision issues (with enemies and moving platforms) and make other quality of life improvements. The game deserves more polish, it feels clunky at times. If fixed, it would have a wonderful second life on the catalog.
I hope you publish the game in the Catalog. I would buy a completed game there. Not everyone likes to buy early access to an unfinished game. This game has a pretty high price tag if it's early access. But I really liked the trailer and I see in the comments that the players like the game and the trailer does not lie. You're doing great.
This is the best game on the Playdate. BRAVO! We need more platformers on this system. Please either make a part 2 or a different platformer that's just as good as this! Where is THE END screen? I beat it & was expecting something, all I have are a bunch of closed doors. :(

I agree that the game has crashed my system a few times, and I've seen clip through the floor glitches, audio glitches, and a few other anomalies such as inability to jump while on a platform.

Sorry, I didn't capture that, but I know it was in "Rookie World" and I'm pretty sure it was on level 8, but it might have been 7 or 9. If I see it again, I'll capture more detail.
so, I just did the latest system update, then launched the game and loaded Spooky World level 2. When I got to the first vertical moving platform, I jumped left and grabbed the key, then I was unable to jump again. I’ve seen this behavior a handful of times before on the platforms, but I thought I’d let you know since it was in a session from a clean system reboot and on my first try.
I love this game. The rendition of Take Me Out to the Ball Game brings me immense joy, and the game itself is fun. Might even go back and 100% the levels!
Hi - I have played a lot and just to say that the game often crashes the play date. Don’t know if something can be done about it. It often happens at the end of a level.

I haven’t been experiencing any crashes so I am not able to reproduce the issue. if you have any extra info like screenshots or video of the crash, pressing B for more information after the crash, or a way to reproduce it, or can send me your json save file, that could help a lot in trying to fixing the problem.
